Our Story
Where It Began
The journey of Lynn and Linda started in the red clay of Georgia. Lynn was a farm boy near Statesboro, gazing up at airplanes while plowing mule-led rows of cotton. Linda was the daughter of a Christian home in Morgan County, serving as a pianist in a historic Baptist church. It was there they met—a young pastor and a gifted musician—beginning a marriage that has spanned several decades.
The Seven-Year Trial
In 1975, the harmony of their lives was shattered. Linda was struck by a rare condition that left her body in total numbness and chronic pain. For seven years, they lived in a hellish prison of isolation, seeking cures at Johns Hopkins and Duke hospitals, only to be met with medical silence.
The Miracle That Changed Everything
Though their religious training suggested the age of miracles had passed, they sought a "last hope" miracle in the Word of God.
1982: In a divine encounter, Christ the Healer restored Linda’s sense of touch and healed six other documented conditions in one night.
1984: Lynn experienced a "holy ambush"—a definitive filling of the Holy Spirit that empowered him to fulfill their global calling.
A Global Legacy
Transformed by these encounters, the Reddicks left the traditional pastorate to carry the message of God’s present-day power to North America, Europe, Israel, India, and New Zealand.
For many years, they served under the banner of Open Church Ministries, planting house churches, believing that the structure of the church was the key to revival. However, through years of international ministry and local service, they discovered something profound: while structures may vary by culture, the power of a blessing is a universal language that God uses to open doors and heal hearts on every continent.
They realized that their true calling wasn't just to start new churches, but to equip the people of the church—and even those outside its walls—to become conduits of God’s favor through blessing.
Why "Open Blessing"?
In 2026, Lynn and Linda officially transitioned the name of their ministry from Open Church Ministries to Open Blessing. This shift moved the focus from “where we meet to how we live.” A simple, two-minute act of blessing changes the atmosphere of a home, a workplace, or a community.
Mission Today
Their mission is simple: To teach the world the practice of blessing. Through the principles found in the 2-Minute Miracle of Blessing, they help individuals:
Understand their authority to release God's favor.
Move from a religious spirit to a spirit of grace.
Walk with God in everyday moments.
