Questions & Answers

1. Is Open Blessing a new religion?

No. We are a global Christian ministry. We are simply returning to one of the most ancient and foundational practices of faith: the act of blessing. Our goal is to see the followers of Jesus live out their original calling to be a blessing to all the nations of the earth.

2. Are you still planting open house churches?

Our focus has evolved. While we still believe the home is a sacred space for community, we realized that the open house church model was a container—but Blessing is the fuel. We now prioritize teaching individuals how to carry Blessing into any environment, which often naturally results in "Blessing Hubs" or small communities forming in homes, marketplaces, or traditional churches.

3. How is this different from "The Prosperity Gospel"?

The Blessing is not about amassing personal wealth; it is about being a conduit for God's goodness to others. A Prosperity focus is often about getting, while Open Blessing is entirely about giving and releasing grace to those around you.

4. Can anyone learn to give a blessing?

Absolutely. We believe that every person, regardless of their background or location, can be trained to recognize God’s favor and speak it over their neighbors, colleagues, and families.

5. How can I get involved?

Open Blessing is an international network. You can join us by:

  • Learning: Access our core teachings on the mechanics of blessing.

  • Practicing: Start where you are, using our practical guides to bless your local community.

  • Connecting: Join a global cohort of "Blessing Carry-ers" who are transforming their cities one blessing at a time.
